Dental Hygienist (Part-time) - Royal Family Dental - Simi Valley, CA

Small private dental office located in Simi Valley, looking for a detail oriented and ambitious Dental Hygienist 2 days a week - Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday. Our office highly focuses on patient centered care. **Must have current RDH license in CA. Experience a plus but will gladly consider a new graduate to come and learn with us. We would love to help you create your future. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies We are looking for a candidate who has excellent communication skills and is enthusiastic about patient education.
