Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and a strong understanding of dental practices. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure their oral health is maintained and enhanced through effective hygiene practices. You will be responsible for performing assessments, cleaning teeth, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs. Perform dental cleanings and treatments using appropriate techniques and tools. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient records management. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, supporting the dentist as needed. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Document patient care activities accurately in EMR systems, including medical coding when necessary. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and preventive care. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques to enhance patient care. Qualifications Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus. Familiarity with medical imaging processes and documentation review is beneficial. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while providing high-quality patient care.
