Dental Assistant Rover/Clinical Flow and Doctor Support Zebulon Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant Rover to help keep our clinical day running smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule. This is not a traditional chairside position assigned to only one doctor. The Dental Assistant Rover supports the entire clinical team by covering doctors’ overflow treatment chairs, assisting other dental assistants during busy periods, maintaining sterilization, turning over operatories, and helping implement initiatives that improve patient flow and practice performance. Primary Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance for doctors in overflow treatment rooms Move between doctors and clinical areas based on the needs of the practice Support dental assistants during busy periods and schedule transitions Clean, disinfect, stock, and prepare operatories between patients Maintain sterilization procedures and instrument organization Ensure treatment rooms and clinical supplies remain ready throughout the day Anticipate workflow needs and provide support without waiting to be directed Help doctors and assistants remain on schedule Assist with supply organization and clinical systems Participate in practice-flow and continuous-improvement initiatives Support a positive, professional, and patient-focused environment Required Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience is required Strong working knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, sterilization, and infection control Ability to provide effective chairside assistance with minimal supervision Ability to move confidently between doctors, procedures, and responsibilities Dependable attendance and punctuality Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills A proactive mindset and willingness to assist wherever needed Applicable North Carolina dental assisting qualifications and certifications Applicants without previous dental assisting experience will not be considered.
