Job Overview We are seeking a dental assistant to oversee our clinical team and ensure the highest standards of patient care within our specialty dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, excellent leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of procedures and protocols. This role requires proficiency in various dental software systems and a commitment to maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Duties Lead and mentor the clinical team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Oversee daily clinical operations, including patient scheduling, treatment planning, and coordination with other dental providers. Assist with chairside duties, including four-handed dentistry techniques, taking vital signs, performing X-rays, and utilizing 3D imaging. Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Ensure infection control protocols are followed and that aseptic techniques are practiced in all clinical procedures. Collaborate with dental receptionists to enhance patient experience and streamline clinic operations. Stay updated on advancements in endodontics and participate in continuing education opportunities. Requirements Proven experience in a dental clinic setting Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to the field. Familiarity with various EMR systems Experience with medical imaging techniques and equipment is highly desirable. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties effectively while ensuring patient comfort. Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a clinical environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented atmosphere. Certification in dental assisting is preferred; North Carolina Dental Radiology certificate required.
