Elegant Smiles is looking for a dental assistant! One of our assistants is expecting and will be leaving us after she has her baby! We are a general practice with a focus on cosmetic dentistry. We are 2 doctor practice and we are passionate about our work. Job Duties and Requirements included but not limited to: Expected to be able to run 1 column and sometimes 2 if there are small appointments at the same time. Expected to have a positive and bright personality; able to converse with our patients and make them comfortable. Must have good attention to infection control and cleanliness. Break down and set up rooms Sterilization Coronal polishing Assist the doctor with all dental procedures Take X-rays Make impressions Make temporaries Digital Scans Take photos Pack cord Whitening Make night guards and whitening trays Charting for the doctor during exams and entering/sequencing treatment Checking out patients, posting treatment Knowledge of Archy is appreciated but not required. The ability to learn a new software is required. Cross training for the front is appreciated Education: - High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of a dental assisting program or dental assisting experience is preferred. Our office hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:00am - 6pm Earning Potential: - Hourly pay depends on experience.
