Take X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary considerations, and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes using Dentrix. Follow infection control protocols diligently, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for all. Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after treatments to ensure safety and comfort. Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations governing patient privacy. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment that adheres to infection control standards and OSHA regulations. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in your jurisdiction. Proven experience working in dental offices or clinics with a strong understanding of dental assisting procedures. Proficiency in Dentrix for documentation review and recordkeeping. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about oral health practices. Ability to perform dental radiography safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry ensures precise assessments and treatments.
