Overview We are a Pediatric Dental office and seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and supporting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Help manage and schedule appointments Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment. Conduct preliminary assessments by recording relevant medical information. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred. Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry. Experience with medical coding is a plus but not required. Familiarity with infection control practices in a clinical setting. Knowledge of dental software systems such as Dentrix or Open Dental is advantageous. Ability to perform basic medical imaging techniques as needed. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Previous experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial but not mandatory.
