Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthodontist to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, planning, and delivering comprehensive orthodontic care to patients of all ages. Your expertise will help improve smiles and boost confidence through innovative orthodontic treatments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, infection control, and patient care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including dental and medical history review, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging to determine orthodontic needs. Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing the latest orthodontic techniques and appliances such as braces, aligners, retainers, and other corrective devices. Perform orthodontic procedures with precision, ensuring optimal results while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Collaborate with general dentists and specialists in prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, pediatrics, anesthesiology, and other fields to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate medical records and document all treatments in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws. Educate patients on their treatment options, expected outcomes, and proper appliance care to foster understanding and compliance. Stay current with advancements in orthodontics by participating in continuing education and training on new technologies such as digital imaging and dental fabrication techniques. Requirements Valid state licensure as an Orthodontist with certification in orthodontics or dentofacial orthopedics. Proven experience working in dental clinics or healthcare settings with a focus on orthodontic treatments. Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar practice management systems. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and healthcare diagnosis procedures. Skilled in using dental imaging technology for diagnosis and treatment planning. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, oral surgery procedures, and prosthodontics is preferred. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately. Ability to work efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and clinical productivity. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and patient privacy.
