Dental Hygienist - SPECIALTY DENTAL PRACTICE - North Palm Beach, FL

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene care to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding of dental procedures. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment while adhering to all health regulations and protocols. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including mostly perio maintenance patients- scaling and polishing teeth. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Assist in the assessment of patient oral health, including the identification of potential issues. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care for patients, including assisting during procedures when necessary. Ensure all dental instruments are sterilized and prepared according to aseptic techniques. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education. Skills Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software. Knowledge of medical coding, dental terminology, and medical terminology relevant to patient care. Familiarity with general dentistry practices as well as pediatric dentistry techniques. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment in a busy dental clinic setting. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and documentation. Local Anesthesia Certification.
