Light Orthodontics, a brand-new orthodontic office opening in the heart of Monsey, is looking for an exceptional team member to help build something special from the ground up. This is more than a traditional orthodontic assistant position. We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and wants to be an integral part of a growing practice. This hybrid role provides an opportunity to gain experience as an orthodontic assistant, as well as a patient coordinator. This position will require flexibility to act as either role as needed: On days when the orthodontist is seeing patients, you'll work chairside, assisting with clinical care and helping create an exceptional patient experience. On administrative days, you'll serve as our Patient Coordinator—scheduling appointments, coordinating treatment, assisting with insurance and financial arrangements, and ensuring the office continues to run smoothly. What You'll Do Assist the orthodontist during patient treatment Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments Take orthodontic records, photographs, and radiographs Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care Schedule appointments and answer phone calls Verify insurance benefits and assist with financial arrangements Collect payments and maintain accurate patient records Who You Are We're searching for someone who is: Personable and enjoys interacting with patients and families Organized and detail-oriented Responsible and trustworthy Calm under pressure and able to multitask A strong communicator A team player with a positive attitude Orthodontic assisting experience is preferred, but we are willing to train an exceptional candidate with the right personality, work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
