Dental Assistant - HORIZON DENTAL CARE - Moscow, PA

As a Dental Assistant, you will be an integral part of our clinical team, supporting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of daily dental procedures. You will help prepare patients, set up equipment, assist the dentist during procedures, and ensure patients feel at ease. Key Responsibilities: Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing and setting up instruments and equipment Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures (exams, fillings, extractions, etc.) Hand instruments and materials to the dentist during procedures Take dental impressions, x-rays, and perform other laboratory tasks Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment Record medical and dental histories and update patient charts Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions Manage infection control, ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned and sterilized Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed Schedule patient appointments and maintain treatment records as necessary Educate patients on oral hygiene practices Qualifications: Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent credentials (required) Current CPR certification Experience working as a dental assistant preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply Knowledge of dental software (e.g., Ascend or similar) is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented and organized with excellent multitasking abilities Ability to work well in a team environment and provide a friendly, professional atmosphere for patients Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and 401K Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education Flexible scheduling (full-time or part-time available) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location: In person
