We are looking for a dependable, friendly, and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team on Fridays and Saturdays . The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and works well in a fast-paced environment. This position is perfect for an EFDA who enjoys providing high-quality patient care while working alongside a supportive dental team. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures. Perform expanded functions as permitted by state regulations. Fabricate, adjust, and cement temporary crowns as permitted by state regulations, ensuring proper fit, function, and patient comfort. Take digital radiographs and intraoral photos. Prepare treatment rooms before and after procedures. Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records and charting. Ensure operatories are fully stocked and organized. Help create a positive, welcoming experience for every patient. Requirements Current EFDA certification/license (required). Current Dental Assistant certification as required by state law. CPR/BLS certification. Experience with digital X-rays and electronic dental records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment. Positive attitude and commitment to outstanding patient care.
