Registered Dental Hygienist - Harvey Barbag, DMD - Boca Raton, FL

Job Overview I am looking for an experienced dental hygienist to replace one of my retiring hygienists. The position is for Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 8:30 am finishing by 5:30 pm . Patients are scheduled for 1 hour appontments. This provides time for 8 patients a day. Periodontal charting is done by the doctors, but the hygienist needs to review the previous charting to know what areas need extra care. Radiographs are taken at times, but usually not done by the hygientist. This means that bite wing radiographs are sometimes needed, but not usually. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain and improve patients’ oral health. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, , and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health. Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures aligned with healthcare standards like HIPAA compliance.. Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical records management, documentation review, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while providing excellent client communication and patient care.
