Permanent Dental Assistant Job in La Grande, OR
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and record vital signs of patients as needed. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist in creating dental models. Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients. Manage patient records using software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions. Support various dental specialties procedures as required. Perform routine tasks such as sterilizing instruments, cleaning treatment rooms, and maintaining inventory of supplies. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential. Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a plus. Understanding of Aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental management systems. Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with patients of all ages.
