Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. You will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. A strong background in general dentistry and familiarity with dental software systems is preferred. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including prosthodontics and general dentistry tasks. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Utilize 3D scanners for precise measurements and impressions. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Skills Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. (New graduate from Dental Assistant School is also encouraged to apply) Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Open Dental is a plus. Knowledge of medical records management and HIPAA compliance. Familiarity with general dentistry practices and dental imaging techniques. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
