Beaumont Dental Associates, PLLC is looking for a full time dental assistant in Lexington, Kentucky. We are a private dental office with two locations. This position will be assisting a general dentist. 1 year of experience is required. Familiar with Eaglesoft is a plus! Clinical Duties Chairside Assisting: Hand instruments to the dentist, apply suction, and keep the patient’s mouth dry and clean during treatments like fillings or crowns. Patient Care & Prep: Greet patients, seat them in treatment rooms, review medical histories, and take vital signs like blood pressure. Sterilization & Safety: Disinfect operatories and sterilize dental tools following strict Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines. Radiography & Lab Work: Take and process dental X-rays, pour impression molds, and make temporary crowns (as permitted by state regulations). Patient Education: Demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques and provide post-operative care instructions. Administrative Duties Scheduling: Book appointments, coordinate patient flow, and send out reminders. Records Management: Update patient charts, document treatments, and manage electronic health records. Billing & Office Support: Handle basic insurance claims, process payments, and answer phone calls. Inventory Control: Track dental supplies, restock operatories, and order new materials when needed.
