Registered Dental Hygienist - Concordville Town Centre Dental - Glen Mills, PA

We are a two doctor (non-corporate) private practice seeking a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. We are a close-knit team looking for a team member. Our office is in need of a Part-time Hygienist for 1 or 2 days a week. We are very flexible with the hours and days. Our office is open: Monday 9-7 Tuesday 9-6 Wednesday 9-5 Thursday 9-7 Friday 9-1 Dental Hygienist duties cleaning patients teeth and advising patients on oral health and preventative care. You’ll help dentists decide treatments for teeth or gum diseases and handle dental emergencies. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid license to practice Job Type: Part-time Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Paid time off License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist license (Required) Ability to Commute: Glen Mills, PA 19342 (Required) Work Location: In person
