Overview: We are seeking a skilled , passionate, and extroverted Dental Hygienist of 5+ years to join our team for a long term career. Ideally looking for a full time hygienist, but we welcome part time as well. We are a fee for service, adults dental practice that has recently expanded. We focus on relationship building, and providing exceptional experiences to our patients. Our patients are truly treated like friends and family. Our goal is not to just provide cleanings, but to create an experience that makes patients want to refer their friends and family. Our practice has been in the area for over 30 years. The doctor considers hygiene the most important aspect of patient management because ultimately that is how we keep our patients healthy for life. From the Doctor: Pay can be extremely competitive for the perfect candidate. I am looking for someone is friendly, who likes to talk to patients, who is passionate about educating patients on hygiene and utilizes all resources available (threadrers, proxabrush, SDF, Laser, Anesthesia etc,) and who has the appropriate clinical skills that can be delivered with a gentle touch. I take extensive notes on my patients, and track their health thoroughly, and expect the hygienist to play the same role. If you are knowledgeable in dental sleep medicine, and myofunctional therapy that is a huge plus. I am looking for a hygienist that knows how to recognize decay and communicate this to both the patient and the doctor, knows the benefits of orthodontics in terms of hygiene, and is comfortable having those discussions prior to me entering the exam room. My hygienists are health care providers, not teeth scrapers. I have high expectations but will compensate appropriately for excellence. Responsibilities: - Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque and tartar from teeth - Conduct thorough oral examinations and screenings for signs of oral disease - Clean rooms/bag and sterilize equipment - Take x-rays - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care - Monitor nitrous oxide as needed - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems ( Dentrix) - Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans for patients - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment Qualifications: - Valid state dental hygiene license - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Proficiency in using dental software systems ( Dentrix) for scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation - Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals Bonus Skills: - Familiarity with digital scanning for patient wellness scans - Dental Sleep medicine/tongue ties/myofunctional therapy - Curodont and Seal and Protect - Local Anesthesia license Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Ability to Relocate: Dallas, TX 75205: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
