Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice to promote long-term oral health. Review patient medical histories and update records accurately to ensure safe and effective care. Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with professionalism and efficiency. Provide patient comfort measures and address any concerns or questions with clear, positive communication. Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilize dental instruments according to industry standards. Experience Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional regulations. Proven experience in performing dental cleanings, radiographs, and patient education. Strong knowledge of oral health best practices, infection control procedures, and dental software systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect warmly with diverse patient populations. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
