Dental Hygienist - Brentwood Dental Excellence - Brentwood, TN

Brentwood Dental Excellence is searching for an RDH to join our busy 2 doctor - 2 FT hygiene practice. Minimum need is 2 days/week but could offer 4 days/week. We value a team oriented culture, have a strong perio program, and all Hygiene appts are scheduled for 1 hour. Experience preferred but welcome training a new graduate. Compensation based on work experience and offer a bonus structure. Ideally, we are looking to add a Dental Hygienist to our team on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. We are also open to 2 days with flexible days. Our hygienists focus on providing quality, individualized patient care to promote good oral health by advising patients on oral health and preventative care. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. If you are hard working, compassionate, a team player and have good communication skills, we’d like to meet you. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible during their appointment Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays, or dental impressions, place sealants Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or recent graduate In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Be a Team player Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid license to practice Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Employee discount Paid time off Retirement plan Education: Associate (Preferred) License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist Diploma (Preferred) Tn Dental License (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Brentwood, TN 37027: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
