Registered Dental Hygienist - General Dentist, Boyne City - Boyne City, MI

We are looking for a full time OR part time Dental Hygienist to join our team in optimizing patients' oral health through excellent clinical care and patient education. Duties will revolve around conducting initial patient screenings, periodontal charting, obtaining necessary radiographs, cleaning teeth (adult prophylaxis and scaling and root planing) and educating patients with regards to oral health and preventative care. We are seeking an individual that is dedicated, reliable and enjoys working with patients of all ages. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible in the dental chair Sterilize dental instruments Conduct initial mouth screenings and document existing dental condition Identify conditions including but not limited to gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Cleaning patients' teeth while educating them on the importance of good oral health Give instructions to patients after dental procedures Take excellent X-rays (digital intraoral and panoramic) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient using Dentrix dental software Monitor supplies Skills In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA, OSHA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental instruments Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Valid RDH license to practice in the state of Michigan Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 – 38.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance License/Certification: RDH license to practice in the state of Michigan (Required) Ability to Relocate: Boyne City, MI 49712: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
