The Gentle Dental Emporium in West Bend is looking for a self-motivated, outgoing, and professional dental assistant to join us in our mission of sharing smiles. We are looking for someone to join our team full time (four days per week). Position Summary Dental assistants work collaboratively within the dental team to provide quality patient care. The dental assistant greets and prepares patients for care, assists dentists with dental procedures, and maintains instruments and supplies. Dental assistants are responsible for both supervised and unsupervised routine tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations with the goal of allowing the dentists to carry out their responsibilities with minimal disruption. Dental assistants provide patient education regarding dental products and services. Importantly, our dental assistants resolve patient concerns with empathy and enthusiasm. Position Responsibilities -Welcomes patients to the treatment room and prepares patient for treatment -Delivers instruments to the treatment room, positions instruments for dentist/dental assistant access during treatment. Passes instruments to the dentist and suctions during treatment -Prepares and disinfects treatment room for patients according to OSHA standards -Obtains dental impressions -Pours and trims stone/plaster dental models -Fabricates provisional crowns, athletic mouth guards, and whitening trays -Maintains a clean and organized laboratory -Tracks incoming and outgoing lab cases -Captures bitewing, periapical, and panoramic radiographs -Provides support to hygiene providers including periodontal charting, room disinfection, and obtaining radiographs, as needed Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
