Job Description We are a dentist-owned, patient focused dental practice with a caring, dedicated dentist (not corporate owned). We are seeking a dependable, experienced and organized professional to run our front desk. For the right person. this position will provide steady long-term employment as well as possible career advancement. Position Responsibilities: Greeting patients, Handling check-in and check out Answering phones and incoming emails and responding promptly Scheduling and confirming appointments Verifying insurance benefits and explaining coverage to patients Managing insurance pre-determinations and treatment plans Presenting treatment plans, calculating and collecting co-pays Communicating effectively with the doctor and team members Assist with insurance claims and posting payments Maintaining patient relations and performing a variety office duties Position Requirements: Previous Dental Front Desk experience is required (2 years + preferred) Dental Practice Management software experience (We use Open Dental) Experience with dental insurance verification and claims Fundamental knowledge of dental terminology and general dentistry procedures Excellent communication, phone and verbal skills are a must Detail oriented, and the ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks Applicants must be reliable, motivated, outgoing, personable and dedicated to patient care Our practice is open four days a week, Tuesday through Friday, eight hour workdays, 32+ hours/week. We are closed on Monday, but additional hours may be available. Our hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30-7:30, Wednesday and Friday 7:30-4:30. We are looking for a friendly, bright and talented employee that can bring their experience and skills to work each day and use them effectively to help us provide the best possible dental care experience for our patients.
