Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Manalapan, NJ

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready for patient care. Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures using four handed dentistry techniques. Welcome and prepare patients for treatment while helping them feel comfortable and informed. Take and process digital dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations. Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment following OSHA and infection control guidelines. Maintain accurate clinical records and chart treatments in the practice management system. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative instructions, and prescribed home care. Fabricate temporary crowns, take impressions, pour models, and perform other expanded functions as permitted by state law. Monitor inventory and restock clinical supplies. Assist with operatory turnover and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment. Work collaboratively with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient patient flow and outstanding customer service. Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience preferred. Dental Assisting Certification or Registration (as required by state law). Current radiology/X-ray certification. Knowledge of infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations. Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Positive attitude, professional appearance, and a patient-focused approach. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
