Experienced Dental Assistant â Endodontics Central Virginia Endodontics | Charlottesville, VA Central Virginia Endodontics is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing team. We provide specialized care to patients who are often experiencing pain or dental anxiety, so we need someone who combines strong clinical skills with patience, compassion, and a calm presence. What Youâll Do Assist during root canal treatments, emergency visits, consultations, and other endodontic procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and patient records Take high-quality digital X-rays and assist with CBCT imaging Review medical histories and help patients feel informed and comfortable Maintain sterilization, infection-control, OSHA, and safety standards Anticipate the doctorâs needs and support efficient patient flow Provide clear clinical handoffs to the front-office team Monitor supplies and communicate inventory needs proactively Maintain a clean, organized, and fully prepared clinical environment Support teammates wherever needed to keep the day running smoothly What Weâre Looking For Previous dental assisting experience required Endodontic or specialty dental experience strongly preferred Experience taking digital dental X-rays Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures Excellent communication and patient-care skills Dependable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment A team-first mindset with a willingness to learn and grow The ability to remain calm and compassionate with patients experiencing discomfort or anxiety What We Offer: A welcoming and team-focused work environment Specialized clinical experience and opportunities to expand your skills Supportive doctors and leadership Meaningful work helping patients get out of pain Benefits available for eligible full-time employees We are looking for someone who does more than assist with procedures.
