Orthodontic Clinical Assistant Designer Smiles by Benton is a patient-focused orthodontic practice serving the Oxford and Pell City communities. Position Overview We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and adaptable Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. This position will be based primarily in our Oxford, AL office , with occasional travel to our Pell City location as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with patients, is comfortable in an open clinical environment, and can confidently interact with patients and team members of all ages. Orthodontic experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person . We are looking for someone who is teachable, takes pride in their work, responds well to constructive feedback, and is interested in growing with our practice. Key Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and clinical procedures Provide efficient chairside assistance and utilize four-handed dentistry techniques Take digital photographs and dental radiographs as needed Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation Prepare treatment areas and maintain an organized clinical environment Follow all infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols Monitor patient comfort and provide a positive experience throughout each visit Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, parents, doctors, and team members Educate patients and families on orthodontic care and treatment instructions Help maintain efficient patient flow in a busy clinical setting Cross-train in other areas of the practice to support the team as needed Travel between our Oxford and Pell City offices when required Learn and take on additional clinical responsibilities as skills develop What We're Looking For Previous orthodontic or dental experience is preferred but not required Willingness to learn new skills and accept constructive feedback Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working with children, teenagers, and adults Friendly, positive, and professional chairside manner Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively with others What We Offer Full-time, four-day work schedule, Monday-Thursday Comprehensive on-the-job training Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Cross-training and development in multiple areas of the practice Health insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and paid sick time Supportive, team-oriented work environment Position Details Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday–Thursday Shift: Day shift Location: Oxford, AL Travel: Occasional travel to Pell City, AL Work Location: In person If you are looking for an opportunity to build a career in orthodontics, enjoy working with people of all ages, and want to be part of a growing team, we would love to hear from you.
