Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a wide range of dental conditions, including restorations, extractions, implants, root canal therapy, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Conduct dental procedures with precision while maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to document medical records accurately and manage patient information securely. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-procedure care to ensure optimal patient understanding and satisfaction. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques by participating in ongoing education related to dental fabrication, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Skills Proficiency in dental software platforms including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis procedures using medical imaging tools and clinical examination techniques. Expertise in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, implants, oral surgery, orthodontic adjustments, pediatric dentistry treatments, and prosthodontic restorations. Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe clinical practice. Ability to communicate complex medical terminology clearly to patients of all ages while demonstrating excellent client communication skills. Understanding of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and patient privacy. Experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with a focus on general dentistry and specialized procedures such as endodontics or pediatric dentistry.
