We are looking for a dependable and adaptable Floating Dental Assistant / Receptionist who enjoys working with patients and is eager to support both our clinical and administrative teams. Position Summary This is a versatile role that combines front office responsibilities with back office dental assisting duties. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Floating Dental Assistant / Receptionist, you will provide support wherever it is needed to help ensure a smooth and positive experience for our patients. Front Office Responsibilities Welcome and check in patients with professionalism and a friendly attitude. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling and general questions. Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments. Verify insurance information and update patient records. Collect payments and assist with patient financial transactions. Maintain accurate electronic records and perform general administrative tasks. Help keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming. Back Office Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms for patient care. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Sterilize and organize instruments following infection control protocols. Take dental radiographs (certification required if applicable). Prepare and dismiss patients while providing post-treatment instructions. Stock and organize operatories and clinical supplies. Support the clinical team with daily patient flow and additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous dental office experience required. Dental assisting experience is required Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. Comfortable learning new technology and dental software. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
