Responsibilities Perform general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canal therapy with precision and care. Conduct thorough patient assessments using medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop accurate treatment plans. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients. Manage complex procedures such as dental implants, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry when required. Maintain detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations and state healthcare laws. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental technology by utilizing software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, and documentation. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness. Skills Proficiency in dental office management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis, medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures. Experience with dental fabrication techniques and dental imaging technology. Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare requirements for medical documentation and records management. Demonstrated commitment to patient care excellence through compassionate client communication and thorough assessments. Knowledge of orthodontics principles and dental implant procedures is desirable but not mandatory.
