Dental Assistant/Floater - Talmadge Family Dental - San Diego, CA

Looking for a motivated dental assistant for a friendly, family oriented office with a long standing patient base. Our ideal candidate should be able to carry casual conversations with our patients and able to make a connection with them. We are expecting our assistants to be able to talk to patients about the treatments our office offers and reinforce the recommendations of the doctor. We are looking for a team player who is always ready to learn new things. Must have dental x ray certification and 8 hour infection control. Please respond with resume and cover letter. Responsibilities Welcome customers in the dental office Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Take x rays, including dental CTs. Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry. We perform multiple dental procedures, including root canals, implants, and restorative dentistry. Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Skills Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Dentrix Software knowledge Knowledge in Cad/Cam is a plus Ability to float and do front office tasks Radiation certificate, BLS/CPR training Job Type: Full-time Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Dental Assisting: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
