Overview Join our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Insurance Coordinator/Front Desk Specialist, where your energetic and detail-oriented approach will ensure smooth patient experiences and efficient insurance processing. In this pivotal role, youâll serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and facilitating accurate billing. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a welcoming environment while ensuring all administrative and insurance-related tasks are handled with precision and professionalism. Duties Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes with a friendly, professional demeanor Verify patient insurance coverage using healthcare claims management systems and confirm benefits before procedures Collect and process patient payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances accurately Review and interpret dental insurance policies, including DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, ICD-9/ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases) coding, to ensure proper billing and claim submission Submit insurance claims electronically via EMR/EHR systems and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to maximize collections Maintain accurate medical records, medical coding, and billing documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding insurance benefits, billing issues, or appointment scheduling promptly and professionally Experience Prior experience in a dental office setting is highly preferred, especially with insurance verification roles Proficiency in Open Dental preferred.
