Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient management, and dental procedures, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic while adhering to strict health and safety standards. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection prevention management policies. Take digital X-ray images using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, or similar software to ensure accurate documentation of medical and dental history. Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following strict infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about oral health, and supporting pediatric patients through gentle chairside assisting. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and clinical best practices to support general dentistry and specialized fields such as orthodontics or endodontics. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix for managing patient records efficiently. Demonstrated proficiency in dental radiography including X-ray techniques and 3D scanner operation. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control expertise. Ability to perform clinical duties involving oral surgery assistance, endodontics support Excellent communication skills with a solid grasp of dental terminology and medical documentation standards necessary for effective team collaboration.
