About the Role Happy Friendly Smiles is seeking a motivated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive experience for every child while supporting our doctors and clinical team. Key Responsibilities Chairside Assist the doctor during pediatric dental restorative procedures. Prepare treatment rooms before, during, and after patient appointments. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments in accordance with OSHA and infection control guidelines. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as permitted by Florida regulations. Help children feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visit. Prophys and Flouride application Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions. Accurately chart procedures and maintain electronic patient records. Work collaboratively with the entire team to ensure efficient patient flow. Follow all office policies, HIPAA regulations, and safety protocols. Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience required; pediatric experience preferred. Current Florida Dental Radiography Certification required. CPR certification preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, positive, and patient-focused attitude. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, professional, and eager to learn.
