Overview: About Us The Smile Lodge Pediatric Dentistry is a fun, fast-paced, team-oriented dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for children in a positive, supportive environment. Weâre looking for reliable, hard-working, and motivated individuals to join our amazing Dental Assisting team at our East Greenbush location! No dental experience? No problem! We offer on-the-job training so you can learn everything you need to succeed. Schedule: Full-Time, 4 x 10-hour shifts Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM â 5:30 PM Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour What We Offer A 4-day work week Paid Time Off and Unpaid Time Off options Health and Dental Insurance are available after only 3 months of employment 401(k) options Consistent schedule with a four-day work week (no weekends!) Annual performance-based raises Supportive team culture and growth opportunities Responsibilities Retrieves patients and responsible parties from the waiting room in an engaging manner and escorts them back to the clinical area Escort patients and responsible parties to check out at the completion of the appointment Identifies any chief areas of concern to be brought to the dentistâs or hygienistâs attention Receives and documents consent for any treatment to be performed during the visit (fluoride, radiographs, N20, sedation, etc.) Takes and documents diagnostic radiographs on patients when the need is identified by a licensed professional Consistently delivers benefit statements and utilizes patient hand-outs to support the education of legal guardians Accurately documents all findings by a licensed professional as well as treatment performed during the appointment Is able to reiterate proposed treatment plans determined by the doctor to the legal guardian in a way that makes them feel comfortable and valued Accurately indicates the next appointment needed using the appropriate appointment descriptions Engages the patient during âdowntimesâ when waiting for the doctor or hygienist to become available, delivering a patient experience that is unsurpassed Anticipates the hygienist's or doctors' needs during the appointment to ensure a seamless visit Adheres to OSHA standards by consistently wearing PPE (Personal protective equipment) Efficiently breaks down, cleans, and sets up work stations (chairs and rooms) in between appointments to OSHA standards Maintains up-to-date CPR/BLS certification Non-Essential Tasks Keeps the work station clean and stocked at all times Embodies the standards of The Smile Lodge (Is a great teammate, is great at their job, delivers a great patient experience, and shows up) Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong interpersonal and communication skills Reliable, professional, and eager to learn Comfort working with children Must be available for a full-time, four-day work week Join our team at The Smile Lodge and help make every childâs dental visit a positive experience!
