Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop accurate diagnoses using dental terminology and medical imaging techniques. Perform root canal therapy, endodontic surgeries, and other advanced procedures with precision, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to coordinate patient care plans, including referrals for prosthodontics, orthodontics, or oral surgery as needed. Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to document medical records, treatment plans, and procedural notes accurately in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Educate patients about their diagnosis, treatment options, post-procedure care, and preventive measures to promote long-term oral health. Maintain a sterile environment during procedures by following strict infection control protocols and ensuring proper dental fabrication techniques are applied when necessary. Stay current with advancements in endodontics through ongoing education and training to ensure the highest quality of patient care. Requirements Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice dentistry in the state. Specialized training and certification in endodontics specialty; experience performing root canal therapy is highly preferred. Proficiency with dental practice management software Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes. Demonstrated experience in general dentistry procedures including dental extractions, oral surgery, dental implants, and pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care and education. Commitment to infection control standards, HIPAA compliance, and adherence to all state healthcare regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment using four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient comfort and procedure efficiency.
