The Dentist on Boones Ferry is a privately owned dental practice looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Dental Assistant who is comfortable with technology and excited to continue growing their skills. We aren't necessarily looking for the person with the most years of experience. We are looking for someone with a solid dental assisting foundation, strong initiative, and the desire to become a highly capable and trusted member of our team. Who We're Looking For Our ideal assistant is someone who: Anticipates the needs of the doctor, patient, and schedule Looks ahead and prepares for what's coming rather than waiting to be directed Is organized, efficient, and highly detail-oriented Understands the importance of keeping the clinical day on schedule Is comfortable with technology and learning new systems Takes initiative, solves problems, and follows through Is reliable, punctual, and accountable Communicates well and contributes positively to the team Wants to continue learning and taking on more responsibility Previous chairside dental assisting experience is strongly preferred. You don't need to know everything on day one—we are happy to train and invest in the right person. However, this position is best suited for someone who already understands the fundamentals of dental assisting and is ready to build on them. Responsibilities Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance Review the schedule and prepare ahead for procedures and patient needs Set up and turn over treatment rooms efficiently Take digital radiographs and intraoral photographs Complete accurate charting and clinical documentation Assist with digital scanning and CEREC workflows Maintain sterilization and infection-control protocols Provide excellent, relationship-driven patient care Communicate proactively with the clinical and front-office teams Monitor clinical supplies and anticipate inventory needs Take ownership of clinical inventory, supply organization, and ordering as you grow into the role Experience & Skills Previous dental assisting experience strongly preferred Oregon dental radiologic proficiency/certification as required Knowledge of dental terminology and common procedures Comfortable with dental technology Eaglesoft experience is a plus Digital scanning/CEREC experience is a plus, but we are happy to train Compensation & Benefits $25–$30/hour , based on experience and skill set Combined Paid Time Off (PTO) Health Savings Reimbursement Plan IRA with employer matching Paid holidays In-house dental benefits Team appreciation events On-the-job training and professional development Opportunity to grow into additional clinical and operational responsibilities Our Practice We are a small, high-standards private practice that values teamwork, organization, excellent patient care, running on time, clear communication, and accountability.
