You will be responsible for providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control standards, to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures. Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable to effectively care for young patients. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining radiation safety standards. Excellent client communication skills to educate patients effectively about their dental health and foster trust. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including sterilization techniques and aseptic procedures. Familiarity with EMR/EHR management systems to ensure seamless documentation review and data entry.
