Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies. Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside assisting techniques and aseptic methods. Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment like 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records efficiently using patient management software such as Eaglesoft ensuring accurate documentation of medical records, vital signs, and treatment notes. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and supporting patients through their visits with compassion and professionalism. Preferred Experience but not necessary Working experience in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting duties including chairside assisting and dental instrument processing. Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft Hands-on experience with dental x-ray procedures, oral surgery support, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and healthcare infection control practices. Ability to operate dental equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination. Excellent communication skills for patient management and teamwork within a clinical setting.
