Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Amarillo, TX
Registered Dental Assistant Belpree Dental Schedule: M-TH: 8am to 5pm, Fri: 8am to 12pm Compensation: $19 to $21 per hour, DOE Willing to train the right candidate, but must be willing to get their RDA, Radiology and Nitrous certification and present license to our office in the first 3 months of employment Essential Tasks include the following but are not limited to: Prepares work areas to include stocking, setting up, breaking down and cleaning/sterilizing as needed, verifying lab cases are checked in and checked out for patients on the schedule, making sure proper tray is set up. Seats patients and completes the scheduled treatment, as well as provides oral or written pre-operative and post-operative treatment instructions, updating the Practice Management Software with new findings and next recommended treatment. Take necessary X-rays prescribed by the doctor following the Radiographic Imaging Policy (RIP). Assists Doctor at chairside with four-handed dentistry, a variety of procedures and maintains Doctor's work schedule and patient flow between operatories, taking impressions per doctorâs recommendation. Maintains general dental office equipment including but not limited to the suction system, X-ray processor and all sterilization equipment. Assist doctors with including all but not limited to fillings, ortho, TMJ, designing and milling in office crowns, scanning, impressions, etc. Qualifications: Must have license in hand before applying for this position Must be self starter with experience in dental assisting Must have Hands On Assisting Experience Nitrous certified preferred Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Must be able to work under the pressure of a busy schedule while also being willing to help other team members as needed during down time.
