Treatment Coordinator – Dental & Medical Insurance / Sales Sacred Smiles | Northlake, TX Sacred Smiles is looking for a high-energy, driven Treatment Coordinator who loves people, loves to win, and knows how to turn opportunities into action. This is NOT a position for someone who simply wants to sit at the front desk, answer phones, and check patients in. We are looking for someone who can communicate, sell, lead, hustle, and take ownership of a productive dental schedule. Our ideal candidate preferably has at least 1 year of dental experience and is already comfortable presenting treatment and discussing money with patients. You do not have to know everything on Day 1—but you must have the drive and ability to become a master of your position. WHAT YOU WILL OWN: Treatment Presentation & Case Acceptance You will help patients understand the treatment their doctor recommends and confidently guide them toward saying YES to the dentistry they need. You must be comfortable: Presenting treatment plans Discussing treatment costs confidently Explaining financing and payment options Handling patient objections Following up on unscheduled treatment Building trust quickly with patients Asking for the commitment and closing treatment Helping patients overcome financial and scheduling barriers Sales experience is extremely valuable for this position. We want someone who understands that great treatment coordination is not about pressuring patients—it is about communicating value, building trust, solving problems, and helping people move forward with their care. Dental AND Medical Insurance You will be expected to become a master of insurance , not simply know how to enter an insurance card into the computer. You will learn and ultimately be expected to understand: Dental PPO benefits Deductibles and maximums Frequencies and limitations Waiting periods Downgrades Missing-tooth clauses Coordination of benefits Predeterminations Insurance estimates Patient financial responsibility Claims and insurance follow-up Medical insurance as it relates to applicable dental procedures Medical insurance knowledge is a major plus. If you do not already understand medical insurance, you must have the willingness and ability to learn it at a high level. Our goal is for this person to eventually be extremely comfortable navigating both dental and medical benefits. Schedule & Production You are not simply filling holes on a schedule. You are helping build a productive schedule. That means understanding what the practice needs, recognizing opportunities, and taking action. You should be able to: Keep the doctor's schedule productive Recognize production opportunities Prevent unnecessary holes in the schedule Follow up aggressively on outstanding treatment Move patients appropriately when opportunities arise Understand the difference between a busy schedule and a productive schedule Communicate with the clinical team about scheduling needs Think ahead instead of reacting to today's problems We want someone who looks at an opening on tomorrow's schedule and immediately starts thinking: "How am I going to solve this?"
