Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Ann Arbor, MI
Job Summary Northside Pediatric Dentistry is a new, modern pediatric dental practice opening in Ann Arbor. We are looking for a warm, dependable, and energetic pediatric dental assistant to join our growing team. Our goal is to create an office where children feel comfortable, parents feel confident, and team members feel valued. We are committed to providing high quality, personalized dental care. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys working with children, communicates well with families, and contributes to a positive and supportive team environment. Pediatric dental experience is preferred, but we will train the right person who has a great attitude, eager to lean and a genuine interest in working with children. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during exams and procedures. Help children feel safe, comfortable, and encouraged throughout their visits. Prepare and clean treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for appointments. Sterilize instruments and follow infection control protocols. Take dental x-rays. Assist with charting and clinical documentation using EMR (electronic medical records). We use Archy dental software. Educate patients on oral health care and post treatment care to promote long term dental wellness. Qualification Dental assisting experience preferred but not necessary- we would love to train you on the job if not familiar with pediatric dentistry and walk you through everything so you will feel comfortable with every day workflow Pediatric dental experience is a plus but not necessary - as long as you feel comfortable working with kids of all age range Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail Willingness to learn and grow with a new practice Pass background check and drug screen. Education: High School diploma required.
