Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking vital signs and evaluating oral health status Assist with various dental procedures such as prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics treatments Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies to promote lifelong oral health Maintain accurate medical and dental records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs Manage patient flow efficiently by coordinating appointments and assisting the dental receptionist as needed Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or general dentistry practice Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for medical documentation and record keeping Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management Experience performing patient assessments including vital signs measurement and medical history review Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health and treatment options Prior dental office experience demonstrating proficiency in dental assisting tasks and medical codingJoin us to make a difference in patients’ lives by providing exceptional dental care in a supportive environment that values your expertise!
