ABOUT THE ROLE WeCare Family Dentistry is a welcoming, patient-centered family dental practice serving the greater San Antonio community. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our preventive care program, building lasting relationships with patients while delivering thorough, high-quality hygiene treatment. Occasional travel to our Live Oak Periodontics & Implant Dentistry location (Toepperwein Rd) may be required to support patient care across our group. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments including periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings, and medical history reviews Provide prophylaxis, scaling and root planing (SRP), and other periodontal therapies as indicated Expose and interpret digital radiographs in accordance with Texas state guidelines Develop and present individualized patient education and home care instruction Document accurate clinical notes, treatment plans, and periodontal records in the practice management system Apply preventive agents including fluoride, sealants, and desensitizing treatments Collaborate with the dental team to coordinate patient scheduling, treatment sequencing, and referrals Travel occasionally to the Live Oak Periodontics & Implant Dentistry location to support cross-office patient care needs Maintain operatory cleanliness and sterilization standards per OSHA and infection control protocols Stay current with continuing education requirements and emerging hygiene best practices QUALIFICATIONS Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the State of Texas â required Current CPR/BLS certification required Texas radiation safety certification required 1 or more years of clinical hygiene experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills encouraged to apply Proficiency with digital radiography and intraoral cameras Experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar dental practice management software preferred Strong interpersonal skills with a gentle, patient-focused chairside manner Comfortable working across multiple office locations as needed Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene required for licensure Pay: $40.00 - $51.00 per hour Work Location: In person
