Responsibilities Conduct thorough orthodontic assessments, including patient evaluation, dental diagnosis, and treatment planning using digital imaging and medical records. Provide comprehensive orthodontic treatments such as braces, aligners, and other appliances, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to coordinate care for complex cases involving oral surgery, prosthodontics, or pediatric dentistry. Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Utilize dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, and record keeping. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Educate patients on treatment options, oral health maintenance, and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental wellness. Qualifications DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school with specialized training in orthodontics. Valid state license to practice dentistry and orthodontics. Proven experience with orthodontic procedures including dental implants, root canal therapy, oral surgery, and endodontics is preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes. Familiarity with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic technique. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex treatment plans clearly. Experience in pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is a plus.
