Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, organized Dental Assistant to support clinical procedures, ensure patient comfort, and contribute to a smooth-operating office. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, detail-minded, and eager to grow their skills in a supportive practice. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments/equipment are sterilized and ready for use Assist the dentist chairside during restorative, preventive, and minor surgical procedures Take and process digital radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photos Mix, pass, and prepare dental materials (e.g., impressions, cements) Maintain accurate patient charts and update clinical notes Provide patient education and post-op instructions in a friendly, reassuring manner Manage infection control and follow OSHA/ADA/CDC guidelines Help with inventory management and basic lab tasks as needed Support front-office tasks occasionally (appointment confirmations, patient check-ins) when required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Dental Assistant License/ completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred Current radiography/X-ray certification (or willingness to obtain) CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) 1+ years of dental assisting experience preferred; new grads encouraged to apply Strong communication skills and professional bedside manner Comfortable with digital dental technologies (intraoral cameras, digital X-ray) Ability to multitask, stand for extended periods.
