Cosmetic/Prosthetic Dental Assistant - Advanced Skills Required - Burns Family Dentistry - Fredericksburg, VA

Overview A senior dentist with a large, established practice requires an exceptional dental assistant with a proven background in complex cosmetic dental cases. The right candidate must have an artistic eye and the artistic hands to complete the preparation phases necessary to develop and deliver a top-quality product. Periodontal and prosthetic training is essential. The right candidate will also have photography and social media skills necessary to both capture and record the cosmetic case process, as well as contribute to the doctor's social media presence and advertising campaigns. The candidate will demonstrate first-rate attention to detail related to case management and organization, in service of the best possible patient experience. This is not an entry-level position. It is a position for an experienced professional who will learn and anticipate the doctor's requirements chairside, and who takes personal ownership of the quality of the finished result. Duties Assist chairside on complex cosmetic and prosthetic cases, anticipating the doctor's needs before being asked. Capture and maintain professional clinical photography documenting each phase of the cosmetic case process. Manage the doctor's social media presence and support advertising campaigns using approved case documentation. Complete the artistic preparation phases required to develop and deliver a high-quality finished product Own case management and organization - sequencing, lab coordination, materials and records - so nothing is missed. Guide the patient through the case experience with the level of care and communication a cosmetic case demands. What you bring: Extensive hands-on experience with prosthetic dentistry and periodontal training. Demonstrated experience assisting on complex cosmetic cases - not incidental exposure. Clinical photography skills, with a portfolio of your own work. Proven social media management and content production ability. Genuine artistic ability and skilled hands for chairside preparation work. Exacting attention to detail and a personal standard for quality. Current credentials in good standing as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia, and current CPR/BLS certification.
