We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant & Hygiene Assistant to join our team. As an Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care. Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing and arranging instruments and equipment - Assist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support - Take and develop dental x-rays - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories - Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar - Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed Skills: - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology - Proficiency in infection control protocols and aseptic technique - Experience with dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Familiarity with medical imaging techniques such as intraoral cameras and digital radiography Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred - Current CPR certification - X-ray certification (if required by state) -Coronal polishing license - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Join our team of dedicated professionals in providing exceptional dental care to our patients.
