Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly, high-energy Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced office. As a Dental Assistant at Bayou Children’s Dental Centers, you will play a crucial role in delivering our mission of providing personal, individualized, quality-focused care to our patients and their families. You will be responsible for the following: Assist the dentists during a variety of treatment procedures. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays). Record patient medical history and dental treatment. Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist. Educate patients on oral hygiene and plaque control programs. Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient office environment. Perform various office tasks as needed to maintain a clean and organized workspace. You will be required to possess the following: An Expanded Dental Duty Assistant (EDDA) certificate is required. Knowledge of Dentrix is beneficial. Pediatric experience is highly desirable. Must be friendly, enjoy working with children, and have a high energy level.
