Entry Level Dental Assistant - Mayo dental - Edgewater, MD

Mayo Dental is a community-focused dental practice that takes pride in providing quality care and making a positive difference in our patients' lives. We are a modern dental office offering a wide range of procedures, including fillings, crowns, root canal treatment, extractions, and implants, with many services completed in-house. We are looking for an Entry-Level Dental Assistant who is dependable, motivated, and eager to learn. Previous dental assisting experience is welcome, but we are happy to provide training to the right candidate. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills and gain hands-on experience in a supportive dental environment. Qualifications Dental assisting experience is preferred but not required X-ray certification is preferred; candidates currently working toward certification may also be considered Positive attitude and willingness to learn Reliable, responsible, and punctual Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to work well with dentists, team members, and patients Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment Must be a team player and willing to help wherever needed Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms and set up instruments and materials Take diagnostic dental X-rays as needed Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas Follow proper infection-control and safety protocols Assist with room turnover between patients Help maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the clinical area Support the dentist and other team members to help the office run efficiently Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients Learn and assist with a variety of procedures as training and experience progress What We Offer On-the-job training Opportunity to gain experience with a variety of dental procedures Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunities to learn and grow within the practice Competitive earning potential Pay Pay is based on experience and is negotiable.
