Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team. This position requires a strong focus on infection control, excellent communication skills, and a passion for pediatric dentistry. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Dentrix software. Provide chairside assistance during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties when necessary, including dental receptionist tasks. Utilize 3D scanners for impressions and other diagnostic purposes as required. Support the practice in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding is advantageous. Familiarity with Epic software is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control standards in a dental setting. Experience or interest in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
